UK Arrivals Travel Update-revised
The UK Government announced today that all travel corridors were being suspended from 4AM on Monday 18th January.
•Mandatory pre-departure testing for international arrivals to England, including UK nationals, will come into effect from from this date. All persons arriving in England at, or after 0400 GMT on 18 January (excluding children under 11 and limited others), will need to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 72 hrs before departure and will need to self isolate for 10 days. A choice of a further test at day 5 may shorten this isolation period.
•You may be refused boarding by your airline or fined when you reach the UK if you do not have a negative test result.
•You are responsible for ensuring that you find a test provider who meets the standards set out on GOV.UK. Please note that the UK Government is unable to assist in either securing tests, or expediting the return of results. Detailed guidance on the types of test accepted, and how passengers can follow the new rules can be found here: https://questions-statements.parliament.uk/.../hcws696
