Admirals Inn and Gunpowder Suites
It is full of character and sits in perfectly manicured grounds overlooking the water. These days the main floor houses a reception area, comfortable lounge and bar.
There are several rooms in the main hotel and two loft suites in the sympathetically restored former joiners loft, with spectacular views over the Dockyard and bay.
Across the water you will find the suites at Gunpowder House boutique hotel. The rooms are attached to a beautifully restored 18th century gunpowder store. There are junior suites and 2 unit cottages with balconies overlooking the water.
Both Admirals Inn and Gunpowder House have their own restaurants (see relevant section for more) and are central to the amenities of English Harbour.

The Admirals Inn is at the entrance to Nelson’s Dockyard built in 1788 was originally a pitch store. Its walls were built with ballast bricks from English ships.
