Recently awarded UNESCO World Heritage status, its harbours naturally form hurricane proof shelter. The Dockyard is home to many of the regattas on the annual calendar and famous for its Christmas Day Party.

Once a base for Admiral Horatio Nelson's fleet in the 18th century the Dockyard has been fully restored and is the only working Georgian dockyard in the world.
